Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi is a state university established in İstanbul in 1982. The roots of the institution date back to the Sanayi-i Nefise Mekteb-i Alisi, which was founded in 1882. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the faculties of architecture, fine arts, and science-literature, as well as the conservatory. The historical campus in Fındıklı is located on the İstanbul Boğazı coast. Education is provided in the fields of architecture, painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, and traditional Turkish arts.
