Lefke Avrupa Üniversitesi (LAÜ) is a well-established higher education institution founded in 1990 in the Lefke district of Northern Cyprus. As one of the first five universities in the TRNC by its founding year, LAÜ constitutes a strong academic center of attraction, especially in the Western Cyprus region. The university conducts undergraduate, associate degree, and graduate programs within the faculties of Engineering, Architecture, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Education, Law, Communication Sciences, Arts and Sciences, and Health Sciences, as well as vocational schools. The Faculty of Engineering is particularly known for its computer, electrical-electronics, mechanical, and civil engineering programs. The Faculty of Education is one of LAÜ's well-established units in the field of teacher training. Lefke is a quiet Mediterranean town nestled among citrus groves; the campus is located in this natural environment and offers students a safe learning environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Dormitories, cafeterias, and sports facilities are located on campus. The language of instruction is English or Turkish, depending on the program. All of LAÜ's programs are recognized by T.C. YÖK and TRNC YÖDAK. ---
