Kıbrıs Sağlık ve Toplum Bilimleri Üniversitesi (KSTU) was established in 2016 in the Güzelyurt region of Northern Cyprus and started accepting students in the 2017-2018 academic year after receiving T.C. Yükseköğretim Kurulu accreditation in 2017. It is a thematic foundation university specializing in health sciences. The campus was established on an open area of 80,000 m² and a closed area of 20,000 m² and has a capacity of 10,000 students. Its academic structure includes numerous faculties, including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Faculty of Health Sciences includes the departments of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and Midwifery. The Faculty of Dentistry has a technologically equipped clinical platform covering eight separate departments. The university attaches great importance to scientific research in the field of health; research is carried out on cancer, cardiovascular diseases, genetic diseases, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, and regenerative medicine. Güzelyurt's peaceful Mediterranean climate and the social structure around the university contribute positively to student life. The language of instruction is Turkish or English, depending on the program.
