Kıbrıs Aydın Üniversitesi (CAU - Cyprus Aydin University) is a foundation university that completed its establishment in 2013 and started accepting students in 2014. The university, which was originally named Lefkoşa İngiliz Üniversitesi (British University of Nicosia), changed its name to Kıbrıs Aydın Üniversitesi in 2016 because it caused confusion with a similarly named institution in Southern Cyprus. It is a sister institution of İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi, based in Turkey. The university conducts YÖK and YÖDAK approved undergraduate, associate degree, and graduate programs within the faculties of Engineering, Health Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Law, Education, and Fine Arts. The exchange protocols that nursing students carry out with prestigious institutions in the world rankings are concrete examples of the university's international collaborations. Within the scope of academic programs carried out with its sister university, İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi, students have the opportunity to participate in events such as the Technology and Innovation Camp every year.
