Bahçeşehir Kıbrıs Üniversitesi (BAU Kıbrıs) is a foundation university that started education in the 2017-2018 academic year, after the establishment approval received in 2016 by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Eğitim Vakfı, based in Türkiye. Its campus, located in the Alayköy region of Lefkoşa, has a modern campus infrastructure. The most distinctive feature of the university is that it is part of the BAU Global Education Network. This network includes Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi in İstanbul, Bay Atlantic University in Washington, Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, and BAU International University in Batumi. Students who meet the necessary academic and language requirements can benefit from semester-based transfers and double degree opportunities between different campuses of the network. BAU Kıbrıs offers undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Architecture, Health Sciences, Communication, Economics Administrative and Social Sciences, Educational Sciences, Sports Sciences, and Law, as well as associate degree programs in vocational schools. Education is mainly conducted in English; optional or mandatory English preparatory class is available. All programs are recognized by T.C. YÖK and TRNC YÖDAK.
