Arkın Yaratıcı Sanatlar ve Tasarım Üniversitesi (ARUCAD) is a thematic foundation university focused on art, design, and communication, founded in Northern Cyprus in 2017 by businessman Erbil Arkın. Established with the vision of becoming one of the world's leading thematic art universities, ARUCAD is the first higher education institution in the region dedicated to this field. The university runs undergraduate and graduate programs within the Faculty of Art, Faculty of Design, Faculty of Communication, and Faculty of Architecture. The programs include fine arts, photography, ceramics and glass design, film design and management, graphic design, industrial product design, interior architecture and environmental design, fashion design, visual communication design, new media and communication, advertising design, and digital game design. The Media and Communication Studies Doctorate Program supports postgraduate research. The campus on Şair Nedim Street in Girne is equipped with workshops, studios, and technical laboratories. As a member of the Turkish World Art Universities Association, ARUCAD combines traditional and contemporary art approaches with an interdisciplinary understanding. The language of instruction is Turkish and English. All programs are recognized by T.C. YÖK and TRNC YÖDAK.
