Earth Scientist — Career Guide

Geoscientists study the composition, structure, and other physical aspects of the Earth. They may use geological, physics, and mathematics knowledge in oil, gas, mineral, or groundwater exploration; waste disposal, land reclamation, or other environmental problems. They may study the Earth's internal composition, its atmosphere and oceans, and its magnetic, electrical, and gravitational forces. Mineralogists, paleontologists, stratigraphers, geodesists, and seismologists are included in this group. ---
