Creates, maintains, and upgrades security technologies such as firewalls for the secure use of computer networks and the transmission and reception of information. Designs and implements appropriate security controls to identify security vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures. Monitors and responds to computer security breaches, viruses, and unauthorized intrusions and conducts forensic investigations. May oversee the evaluation of information security systems.
